About Me

photoI have been a student of anthropology for the last 20 years. While I continue to research and write in my field, I also spend my time counselling couples and individuals on a wide range of sexual issues.

My interest in human sexuality came from the writings of Bronislaw Malinowski, who’s work I was exposed to early on in my education. I read his accounts of the open sexual practices of the Trobrianders people of Papua New Guinea, and I became curious how it came to be that some societies are so shameful of their sexuality. This curiosity continues today and is something I write regularly on in my blog.
